More Than Words
A series of twelve small paintings, each one built around a single word. I’d sit with a word — Love, Grow, Commit, Believe — and paint whatever came up. No plan, no sketch. Just paint and the word and however the day was going. Some words came easy. Some took longer than I expected. All of them taught me something.
I paint to connect, and this is some of the most personal work I’ve made. Twelve words, twelve small canvases, one studio practice made public.

The word is in this painting. You just can’t see it.
Bold marks, crossing each other, not quite resolved. Some tension in there that I left alone.
I won’t pretend faith comes easily to me — I wrestle with it. But I’ve come to believe that faith and belief are traveling companions; one feeds the other. For me, faith means trusting in something bigger than myself, even when I can’t see where the path leads.
